Biography of Sonia Dunlop
Sonia Dunlop is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Solar Council (GSC), where she represents the global solar photovoltaic (PV) industry to policymakers, other sectors, and the media. With nearly 15 years of experience in the solar PV industry, renewable energy policy, and climate change finance, she has held prominent positions at SolarPower Europe, Solar Energy UK, and the RE-Source Platform.
Sonia has also been part of the senior management team at the climate change think tank Third Generation Environmentalism (E3G) and contributed to the COP26 Glasgow organizing team in the UK government. Additionally, she spent five years in the European Parliament in Brussels working on renewable energy policy. Fluent in English, French, and Italian, with basic proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese, Dunlop is based in London with her two children.
