Biography of NJ Ayuk
NJ Ayuk is a Cameroonian-born lawyer, entrepreneur, and one of Africa’s most prominent voices in the energy sector. He is the Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber and founder of the Centurion Law Group, a pan-African firm specializing in energy, natural resources, and investment.
Educated at the University of Maryland, William Mitchell College of Law, and the New York Institute of Technology, Ayuk combines legal expertise with a strong advocacy for Africa’s economic sovereignty.
An author of influential books such as Billions at Play: The Future of African Energy and Doing Deals and A Just Transition: Making Energy Poverty History with an Energy Mix, he argues that Africa’s path to sustainable growth must include responsible development of its oil, gas, and renewable resources.
Known for his outspoken views on local content, fair deal-making, and equitable access to energy, Ayuk has become a leading figure shaping the conversation on how Africa can power its future on its own terms.
